My wife and I visited Rioja early on a very rainy last Friday evening. We were greeted by Pam, the proprietor and her daughter India and within five minutes or less we felt like old friends not customers. Drinks and chat in the warm and beautifully lit bar, no rush to the table.
Pam took us to our table when we were ready and India attended to take our order when we had studied the very varied and extensive but clear menu.
We had already decided on Tapas and chose three each varying from Spanish black pudding through Spanish omelette to Beer battered prawns and Meat balls. All wonderful, ( see picture.)
We almost finished it all (Sorry about the last meal ball Pam)
Everything, including the non intrusive background music, the decor and the spotless loo was perfect.
Not too sure about Pams’ husband though, very handsome and obviously far too charming not to turn your back on gents! ( Seriously, a perfect host)
Very highly recommended, we WILL be back with friends.
